Editorial Reviews
From Publishers Weekly
Based on a true story, this absorbing stand-alone thriller from bestseller Haig (Secret Sanction and five other books featuring army JAG lawyer Sean Drummond) charts the incredible rise and fall of a Russian multimillionaire. The brilliant, hard-working Alex Konevitch amasses a fortune in the building trades in the early 1990s only to have it stolen by a cabal of KGB men led by the KGB's deputy director, who not only takes Konevitch's money and control of his company but also frames him for assorted crimes. Pursued by assassins, Konevitch and his wife go on the run. The couple make their way to America, where they begin to prosper, then fall afoul of a venal FBI director out to enhance his own reputation. The reality aspect of the tale will remind readers of the repressive regime that Russia was and may be again—and of the perfidy of individuals in our own government when greed and ambition are put before democracy and justice. New York Times bestselling author Karen Rose delivers her latest pulse-pounding suspense novel, where the line between the virtual world and everyday reality blurs when it comes to murder.

Eve Wilson's face was once scarred by a vicious assault. Terrified and ashamed, she escaped to the online realm, where she could choose the face she allowed people to see. Years later, her outer scars faded and inner scars buried, Eve has fought her way back to the real world and is determined to help others do the same. Now a graduate student moonlighting as a bartender, Eve researches the addictive powers of online communities. When her test subjects begin turning up dead as a result of apparent suicides, she doesn't know where to turn.

Homicide detective Noah Webster is one of the few people who believe the victims are connected murders. Eve becomes Noah's online guide and realizes that the handsome detective may have secret scars as painful as her own. As Eve and Noah chase a killer who is always one step ahead of them, together they try to overcome the tragedies of their pasts and learn to trust again, but they soon discover that danger is much closer than they think.

Every Monday thanks to Marcia of Printed Page we bloggers gather round to behold what books have popped into other bloggers mail boxes, arrived on their welcome mats or a foundling book wandering some how into a reader's home. ODD THOMAS
Dean Koontz
Batnam Books
Fiction

About the Book:

One of Dean Koontz's best-loved characters is Odd Thomas, a fry cook from Pico Mundo, CA. Maybe he has a gift, maybe it's a curse, Odd has never been sure, but he tries to do his best by the silent souls who seek him out. Sometimes they want justice, and Odd's otherworldly tips to Pico Mundo's sympathetic police chief, Wyatt Porter, can solve a crime. Occasionally they can prevent one. But this time it's different. A mysterious man comes to town with a voracious appetite, a filing cabinet stuffed with information on the world's worst killers, and a pack of hyena-like shades following him wherever he goes. Who the man is and what he wants, not even Odd's deceased informants can tell him. His most ominous clue is a page ripped from a day-by-day calendar for August 15.

Today is August 14. In less than twenty-four hours, Pico Mundo will awaken to a day of catastrophe. As evil coils under the searing desert sun, Odd travels through the shifting prisms of his world, struggling to avert a looming cataclysm with the aid of his soul mate and an unlikely community of allies that includes the King of Rock 'n' Roll. His account of two shattering days when past and present, fate and destiny converge is the stuff of our worst nightmares—and a testament by which to live: sanely if not safely, with courage, humor, and a full heart that even in the darkness must persevere

When Seattle-based jewelry designer Faith Donovan is commissioned by Davis MontegeauAher best friend Mel's future father-in-lawAto design a necklace using 13 priceless rubies of uncertain origin, she becomes the target of an assassin trying to recover jewels stolen from the fabled Hermitage in Leningrad. Thursday Thirteen: It's Not Just Another Staycation but an Adventure!

Edition #37

Thirteen Things about Over The Edge BooKreviews and our favorite things to do on a staycation...

Welcome to Thursday-13 brought to you by Thursday-13. I'm grabbing onto my inner Peter-Pan and sword drawn declaring "Let The Fight Begin"

Exactly, what does that entail? Well let me tell you.
My fight is to have an adventurous summer with out breaking the bank to do it.

These days most of us are deciding to do a staycation to save money. I know. I know I hear you moaning and groaning because here is another blog about to tell you the pros of staying home this summer. Well, yes you have a point but that’s not exactly what I’m about to do. You see, this summer I’ve had to pull my resources together and come up with thirteen different ways to entertain my girls and myself. Here is what I found.

1. Dive Into History- Tourist from all over verge onto the village so they must know something I don’t. Lake George surrounds the thirty-six miles of pristine lakes—known as the Queen of Lakes—housing one of the most famous forts of the seven year—Fort William Henry. So my first destination is to search out our local history.

2. Music in the Park- I love all genres of music except for the bone crushing-knock-your head against a cement wall until your ears bleed. Every Tuesday Lake George host a plethora of different talent. Everything form country to jazz and anything in between can be heard heralding from the four corner of Shepard’s Park Amphitheater and the roar of an exuberant crowd.

3. Anchors Away-- Ever since I was a kid our annual trip to Lake George always consisted of a one hour scenic cruise of beautiful & historic Lake George on board Lake George Steamboat Company’s authentic paddle wheel steamboat, the Minne-Ha-Ha. I hate to admit that I haven’t been on a boat ride in forever. But now it seem like the most perfect way to unwind after a day of writing.

4. CHARGE!- Battle Field Park is where The Battle of Lake George, not to be confused with The Battle of Fort William Henry, was fought on September 8, 1755 between French and Indian forces under the command of German Baron Ludwig August Dieskau and British and Colonial troops under Sir William Johnson. Today it is a plush park where family re-unions, sunbathing or just walking around and taking in the wonder of the picturesque view of the lake. As I mentioned before I’m a huge history buff. So what better way to take in the history than walking around and savoring all the various nuances.

5. Take A Hike!—Prospect Mountain is one of New York states rare gems hidden up in the Adirondack Parks. Its beatific view from the mountain tops is enough to make the hardest of adventures to stop a take a breath at it’s spectacular and radiant view. At least this is what I’m told. Now I just have to get my legs in motion to trek up the rocky hills and valleys of the 2,030-foot mountain to reach its summit. Wish me luck!

6. On the Road Again- this time I’ll be riding a bike. Lake George has many bike ride trails that take you on over 3miles of paved bike trails leading to exciting attractions in Lake George and Glens Falls, biking in the Adirondacks has never been better! Peddle fast or enjoy a leisurely ride – whichever speed you choose, we guarantee you will enjoy your ride. Lake George offers bike trails that beckon all riders, from the experienced to the novice.

7. Amusing Isn’t It- I have to say that we are lucky to live where we do. In less than five miles we have two amazing amusement parks: Waterslide World and Splash-Water Kingdom which my girls hold season pass for. Along with the multitudes of miniature golf and Adventure Racing facility to wear out any rambunctious youngster.

8. Walk Me Thought It Again—I will be the first to admit that I don’t like walking around the village. Or that I’m not a woman that likes to shop for hours. I know the horror. But hey that’s who I am. What I do like is walking around and seeing the new and exciting shops. Lake George is a cornucopia of cultural diversity from its Irish Gift Store Molly Malone’s to it’s Eastern patisserie Boca Via. Lake George is a small town with a big city appeal.

9. Have a Blast!—Every Thursday night the village become a sweltering melting pot as people from all over verge into the little village to watch the traditional Thursday night Fireworks.

10. Grab A Snack—We just started our own ritual this past Thursday of stopping in at the new Waffle Café to grab a snack before fireworks. There is this new concoction called The Minnie Ha-Ha—consisting of two homemade Belgian waffles with warm milk chocolate drizzled over your choice of ice cream and whipped cream. Thank god it’s Thursday! 

11. All Aboard!- Okay here is another first for me and I place full blame at my girls feet. I am taking my very first ever ride on a –Trolley. The trolleys operate several routes seven days per week along Route 9 between Glens Falls and Lake George according to the listed schedules. To ride the trolley is a bare price of $1.00 and for people over sixty or disabled individual is they can ride for a mere $.50. I think the price alone is reason enough to ride the trolley.

12. Popcorn with that Movie: Okay this summer has some really great blockbusters out. With Harry Potter: The Half Blood Prince has just come out and ALL my girls are desperate to see it. Then there is Disney’s summer release, Up, a bunch of romantic comedies, The Proposal Starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, The Hangover, Transformers Two—the list goes on. If you haven’t guessed, tomorrow the girls and I are taking the trolley to go see HP-6

13. Fun Night!- We’ve(me) have decide to invest in this little thing called Fun Night. I’ve recently read in several well known magazines that having a designated fun night brings a family closer. Honestly, I’m not sure how much closer my family can get. Where most teenagers are breaking and struggling for independence my girls are fine being around me, with me or cuddled up right next to me while watching a move. So this Fun Night seems right up our ally.

Saturday 9: Wedding Bell Blues

Welcome to Saturday: 9 brought to you by Crazy Sam. What they've committed to their readers is that they will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks they do "random questions," so-to-speak. They encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because they don't have any rules, it is your choice. They(me too) hate rules. They (me too--I'm addicted) love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Saturday 9: Wedding Bell Blues Enjoy!

1. If you have been or are married, tell us about your wedding. If you are not, tell us how would you want it to be.—My wedding was a disaster—hence why I’m single. Everything from the moment he popped the question went wrong. My bridesmaid—aka sisters and aunt couldn’t get it together. In fact they did nothing to help me. The day before the wedding I had to decorate my own hall with my grandmother. I crashed my car trying to hurry home in time to change for the rehearsal at the church. We were so disorganized that that should have been a major RED flag.

2. What age would you encourage your children to get married? I have four girls and I tell them ALL not to even consider getting married until your thirty. My reason, a woman really doesn’t come into her own until around late twenties early thirties. Also, a woman needs to define her self and her needs before she brings someone into the fold. I’m forty and I’m just coming into my own and figuring out who and what I really want to be as a woman.

3. Who got married at the last wedding that you attended? My older sister—by 18 months—was the last wedding I attended which was twelve years ago. And her marriage I believe lasted all of three years. I could be wrong, we don’t talk much

4. Do you enjoy weddings and receptions? My sister’s wedding was a blast. I’m sociable but very shy. But I like getting down to the Funky Chicken Dance if it’s called for. ;-)

5. Have you cried at a wedding? Never cried. Laughed out loud, giggled and sighed but never ever cried!

6. Would you prefer a lavish event or a intimate ceremony? I love watching lavish ceremonies of celebrities. I mean hey they have the money so let’s watch them go through three or four million. For myself, I’m prone to the intimate affair. A few really close friends is more special than a couple hundred. I did the whole big wedding thing the first time around. I did it to make up for not going to my prom and missing out on a lot of school dances. Trust me the extravagance of the wedding wasn’t the downfall of the marriage. It was the two people at the end of the isle standing in front of friends, family and a priest having no conception of what they were in for.

7. Have you ever been in some one’s wedding party? If yes, do tell. I’ve never been a bridesmaid. I’m not bridesmaid material. It hurts but hey that’s the way life works out. Keep moving forward!

8. Does a wedding make you happy and sentimental or grouchy and skeptical? It makes me all four if you can figure it out. At the onset of the wedding everything looks perfect. Beautiful bride and bridesmaids, gorgeous groom and his groomsmen, the aroma of the abundance of flowers wafting through the church as the organist begins the bridal march and you watch the procession with awe and wonder. Then you realizes that the young couple in front of you hasn’t a clue of what their getting in for. And you’re hoping they’ve checked their 41k and saved money because you know that something unexpected happens. All of a sudden you hear the priest pronounce them man and wife and brings you back to the reality that their bright smiles are meant for this moment. So do weddings make me a sentimental grouch with skeptical hope that marriages will last. You bettcha—don’t we all?

9. Why do you think our divorce rate is so high? Divorce rate is so high because we—women in particular go in to marriage with rose colored glasses with our eyes wide shut. Hoping against hope people go into a marriage believing that this is the one a true love of our lives but never figuring in all the arguments, the growing pains and just the day to day real life and struggles. Divorce is a quick fix. Or get out of jail—notice I didn’t say free;-) But people marry quick and fast like its fast food. And if they don’t like it or aren’t enjoying themselves or see something better that they want then they throw it away and make another order. I think in general people have a fast food mentality these day. I want it NOW. I don’t want it I’ll get some thing bigger and better. Marriages—to me seem to be treated exactly the same way. I’m not bitter. I’m just a realist and call it as I see it.

Thanks so much for joining me on my very first Saturday: 9. Feel free to come back and leave a comment on my post. Don't forget to stop on by Saturday: 9 and leave a link to your post. Have a great weekend everybody and I hope you drop in from time to time.

Thursday Thirteen: A Little Slice Of Me!

Welcome readers to Thirteen Thursday brought to you by The Bumbles. The meme is to share thirteen things about yourself in a way of helping other blogger get to know you. I think this idea is ingenious. So here are my first Thirteen Things. Enjoy!

1. I’m a Mother- I always wanted to be a mom from a very young age. Around the time I was turning fourteen I started dreaming about having a bouncing brown haired blue eyed baby boy. So imagine my surprise when I was twenty-two and my midwife handed me a bouncing brown haired blue eyed baby girl. Imagine a bigger shock when three carbon copies of the first daughter in five years rendered three more.

2. I’m Irish to the Core- Okay I’ve never been to Ireland but I am Irish through and through. So much so, that my blood is green. I kid you not—actually I am. To understand my deep abiding love for Ireland I have to tell you of a time I was watching a PBS(Public Broadcasting System) show about Ireland. The evening was quiet, the girls were tucked in their bed and I settled into my corner of the couch with a book in my hand and the TV on for noise. At just the right moment I popped my head up to see rolling green hills of Ireland with the lilting Celtic music playing in the background. I was mesmerized. Something inside of me ached. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I thought I have to be there…right now…right in that moment I was Ireland…Sentimental I know but even this doesn’t really show the depth of what I feel.

3. I’m a complete music fiend—And proud of it. I wasn’t brought up in your traditional family. I pretty much brought myself up and in doing so experienced new and exciting cultures. I was never much of a follower. I pretty much did my own thing to the discouragement of my family. But hey this is what makes me me. Music IS a very big part of who I am. I love every kind of genre except for the bang your head against the wall until your ears bleed. It’s not because I reached forty and that’s what “old folks” do. I just never got the whole screeching, shouting and nails across a chalkboard appeal. I have to announce that yes I like SOME of the Jonas Brothers music. Hey I have four teenage girls so there was no way out. I’m not to excited about Miley Cyrus even though they listen to her music—Hannah Montana(sorry to all those HM devotees) is banned from our house. What’s playing on my MP3—John Mayer, Rascal Flatts, Celtic Women, Celtic Thunder, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Keyan West, Taylor Swift, Maried Nesbitt,Josh Groban,Rihanna, Chris Brown ,Jordan Sparks, David Cook—Okay Complete FREAK for American Idols—but that’s a whole other number altogether. Those are just a few artist on the MP3—more is on it’s way

4. Okay—Books—Let me just get this over and done with. I LOVE—no, love isn’t the right word, but when I find it I will let you know. I’ve been obsessed with reading book since I was fifteen and I read Tale of Two Cities by Charles dickens. And yes Dickens is one of my fave authors. But I have to say it was Danielle Steele’s Summer’s End that happened to awaken my love for the romance that fateful summer. A few years down the road and I am writing reviews and blogs about every type of romance—contemporary to erotic to suspense and anything I can get my hands on.

5. When I was fifteen I wrote my very first romance. It took 500 spiral blue lined and three pens and three months to write, but I did it. My English teacher loved it—not because I was the teachers pet, I can assure you. She thought it was creative and if I worked out the kinks and corrected all the red marks that I would have a great little start to my story. I’m still working on that story. :-)

6. When I was thirty two I contacted Award Winning author Christine Feehan. She writes some of the best paranormal romance I have ever gotten my hands on. I was new to the whole email internet thing and I jotted off an email to let her know how much I loved the character Byron and of course a story idea I had for him. She was kind and relayed that Byron’s story was in the works. Then she did something I still remember to this day. She asked me why I didn’t write the story I told her about. She stumped me. Why wasn’t I writing that story?

7. To write my own story I took a leap of faith and enrolled into Long ridge Writers group. For you that aren’t sure what it is it’s a writing correspondence course? Where you have individual instructor that you send your work to. Its home base is in Connecticut. For any one thing of a writing life the BREAKING INTO PRINT is one I highly recommend. Go take a look at their site. www.longridgewritersgroup.com

8. Staying with the book theme for a minute more. I have over 500 hundred books lining up every wall. My two bookshelves are filled to overflowing and my desk is covered and I am actually reduced to sitting at my desk with my laptop on a wooden TV tray and other tray to hold—what else more books, folder a scheduling book and writing tablets.

9. I live in one of the most beautiful places in America. It’s a quaint little village nestled in the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York steeped in history. In fact I live a five minute walk from Fort William Henry—one of the most famous forts where the seven year war was fought. I can travel anywhere in the Village or town of Lake George and not only see but feel the history. Walking around The Queen of Lakes is something I didn’t quite appreciate until lately...or her history.

10. I’m a history buff—so you would think that I have scourged and dugg and pilfered every part of Lake George with all of it’s amazing history. If you thought that you are so wrong. But that is on my top ten to-do-list this summer. My girls have sparked an interest. Plus, I kept having a V8 moment—slapping my palm to my forehead and going—duh, all you have to do is step out your door and—BAM—HISTORY is knocking.

11. I love sports—I’m just horrible at them. I’m a huge soccer(football to all you international readers). My second to oldest has played soccer since she was five. Reagen is heading into her junior year being a captain on her high school varsity team. Yay! Reags worked so hard for this honor. I played through out high school and would love to play it again. Actually would love to do any exercise that doesn’t make me look like a complete idiot. I guess that’s why I walk 2x a day at an hour increments. I swear by the beginning of fall to be up to 26 miles—crossing fingers and toes.

12. I love taking pictures. Pictures of absolutely nothing. I could take pictures of the dumbest thing such as a Dandelion field or my girls brilliant amazing smiles. For some reason I like looking through the lens, lining it up and capturing that moment for all eternity. Eternity—yea—it’s the romanticism of the moment being here for all time

13. I’m a romantic at heart. I’ve never been romance or in love so I’m waiting, knowing that true love and the art of romance exists. Romance has to exists because how else would all these deliciously decadent love stories sell of the shelves.

So there you have it. A little slice of me just for you. Don't forget to visit the bumbles and leave your comment and a link so we can learn more about you.

TEASER:
"Tommy's grown up okay." Matt Ranieri turned and reached for his daughter with both arms and hugged her. "He's settled down and from what I hear, he hasn't set rotten eggs under anyone's tires in a long time."

"Good to know." She forced the smile to hold for a few moments more while she returned the hug.

"So. What brings you here?"

They stood side by side, his arm draped over her shoulder casually, but the tension between father and daughter was as tangible as a third entity there on the beach with them."

Book Description:

What would you give up for the people you love?

When Megan Taylor, a single mother and artist living on Cape Cod, receives the shocking news that her cancer has returned, she's faced with the most difficult decision she's ever had to make. The love she has for her daughter, Olivia, and her closest friends will be stretched and frayed.

Megan’s illness reawakens the torment of her best friend, Holly Townsend, whose long-held secrets and years of betrayal come back to haunt her. How does one choose between a daughter and a life-long best friend? Can the secret she has been keeping be revealed after years of lying without destroying everyone in its wake?

Meanwhile, fourteen-year-old Olivia's world is falling apart right before her eyes, and there's nothing she can do about it. She finds herself acting in ways she cannot even begin to understand. When her internal struggles turn to dangerous behavior, even the paranormal connection she shares with her mother might not be enough to save her - her life will hang in the balance.

Megan’s Way is a journey of self discovery and heartfelt emotions, exploring the depth of the mother-daughter bond, and the intricacies of friendship.

Review of Megan's Way

From the moment I received my copy of Megan's Way and read the back I was hooked. I'm known for being more of a romance reader-kind-of-girl but author Melissa Foster hooked me from the moment I read- What would you give up for the people you love?"

In this heart wrenching debut the author hits us with one of lives most tragic events of a single mother dying with cervical cancer and the choices she makes. This isn't Megan's first time at the rodeo but it is her last. The character struggles with the ups and down of the disease that is wracking her desingrating body. Along the way her fourteen year old Olivia is living out her own drama of losing not only her mother but the one person she has depended upon all of her life. Also, her best friend comes into play and to fill in the role of surrogate mother as Megan slowly comes to terms with the choices she has made and knowing dieing is inevitable.

Okay, I wasn't really sure what I would find between the pages of Megan's Way but what happened completely surprised me. I loved the fact that the author made me feel--I'm really big on feeling some kind of emotion as I read--a wide range of emotions from happy, sad, angry, and disappointed and yes somewhere in between I felt all warm and fuzzy inside. That's not saying that the characters were lack-lustered. the characters were enrich engrossing and compelled me to keep reading to see how this unique tale of a mother's love never dies even when the body is buried and gone.

Ms. Foster took me on an endearing ride through a life of tragic and unspeakable challenge that if it where me I wouldn't and still can not answer the question-- What would you give up for the people you love? If I had to answer? My answer would be anything that would make them happy and more at peace with the fact I wasn't going to always be there.

Reader my favorite part of the book had to do with Megan’s "sixth-sense" connection with her young daughter Olivia. I couldn’t help smile and compare how Megan had more than a “feeling” when Olivia was in trouble and needed her. As a mother of four teenage girls I was able to understand and feel not only Megan’s exasperation, but the undying love she has for her daughter.

I highly recommend that you have a box or two of Kleenex handy because this is a tear jerker that is worth all the tears shed. Megan’s Way is beautifully written with heart-to-life characters that resonate long after you finish the book.

News that the body of a recently murdered prostitute—shot through the heart at close range, stabbed repeatedly and dumped on Georgia's Shelter Island—has been identified as Shannon Randall stuns the FBI, particularly Special Agent Dorsey Collins. Twenty-four years ago, nineteen year old Eric Louis Beale was convicted and later executed for Shannon's murder—and the agent in charge of the investigation was Dorsey's father. Now Dorsey is determined to find out where her father's investigation went wrong, what part he played in the death of an innocent young man, and where Shannon has been all this time.

The heat is on FBI Special Agent Andrew Shields to discover what happened to Shannon on that night decades ago, and to find out who killed her and why. Dorsey shadows Andrew's every investigative move, hoping to redeem her father's reputation and capture a cunning killer. Kindhearted Andy, the newest employee of a haunted New Orleans walking tour, gives a homeless man $20. Later, her boss and best friend, Nikki, wakes up at 4 a.m and sees Andy standing at the foot of her bed begging for help; she then discovers that a heroin overdose killed Andy at that same moment. Brent, a consultant on things ghostly, is brought in to investigate the murder by heroin of an undercover FBI agent. Believing that there is a link between the two deaths, he joins the tour company, quickly becoming Nikki's protector once she is threatened. There are good reasons for Graham's steady standing as a best-selling author. Here her perfect pacing keeps readers riveted as they learn fascinating tidbits of New Orleans history. The paranormal elements are integral to the unrelentingly suspenseful plot, the characters are likable, the romance convincing, and, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Graham's atmospheric depiction of a lost city is especially poignant. A woman on the run, with more to live for than she imagined, collides with a danger more lethal than she feared in the all-new Ghostwalker scorcher by #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan…

Of all the Ghostwalkers enlisted to hunt her down, Kane is the only one she can trust. But as their passion reignites, the stakes are raised. Because Kane is now a wanted man as well. ~AUTHORS NOTES~

I had a difficult time thinking about bringing Kane and Rose together long before I began writing Ruthless Game. I’m not particularly big on ‘baby’ books and including a baby posed serious problems to the action/adventure I always envision for my GhostWalkers. There was no getting around Rose’s pregnancy, so I knew if I did in fact write the book, that I’d be dealing with a baby.

When the story began to unfold and it was high octane action, I have to admit, I was a little shocked. A baby in a combat situation? Very strange stuff. I should have trusted my characters. The story is long on action, romance and a wonderful portrayal of team performance. I love all the secondary characters and felt every single word advanced not only the relationship, the danger and action but the team itself. This is one of my all time favorites which is shocking when I was so worried about writing it!

~STREET GAME~

In a series that “keeps you rockin’ from the get go,”* #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan goes beyond the boundaries of paranormal romance as two lovers take to the streets to play the most dangerous game of all.

For Mack McKinley and his team of GhostWalker killing machines, urban warfare is an art. But despite a hard-won knowledge of the San Francisco streets, Mack knows from experience that too many things can still go wrong. Danger was just another part of the game—and now he’s come face-to-face with a woman who can play just as tough.

She’s Jaimie, a woman with a sapphire stare so potent it can destroy a man. Years ago she and Mack had a history—volatile, erotic, and electric. Then she vanished. Now she’s walked back into Mack’s life, as a spy with more secrets than are good for her. Against all odds, she’s hooking up with Mack one more time to take on an enemy that could destroy them both, or bring them back together in one hot, no-holds-barred adrenaline rush.

~AUTHOR NOTES~
Christine FeehanMurder Game was a wonderful book to write.  My hero continually surprised me.  He was a very strong character and never let me get off track when I was writing his story.  The moment I tried to lead him in a direction, he refused to go.  I should have known, he took so long to speak to me.  My heroine is a strong woman who needed to be very understanding with her man.  I think she was really born for him.  I loved both of them so much and I know this will remain one of my all time favorites.

This month I am celebrating the undisputed mistress of paranormal,New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan. I've have been a huge fan from the moment I read DARK PRINCE. I have been hooked ever since. But there is another reason that Christine Feehan has a special place in my heart.

Around eleven or twelve years ago when I was dabbing my toe into the writing pool I sent Ms. Feehan an email. I was floored that she wrote me back. What really touched me was the fact that she was so kind and encouraging even when she didn't have to be. For this very reason Christine Feehan's  RUTHLESS GAME, STREET GAME and MURDER GAME are up for grabs.
