BEAUTY DATES THE BEAST by Pocket Book Author Jessica Sims is straight up wicked fun.  Released in late October 2011 this paranormal romance Dating Game is a card above the rest.  Hands down the most entertaining read, by far, and will have readers laughing out load and rooting for these fascinating protagonists.  What are you waiting for?  Jump on in!

WANTED:  Single white human female that dose not freak when Beau Russell changes into a were-cougar.

Taking the job at Midnight Liaison, dating service to the things that go bump in the night, to hide her baby sister from the werewolf pack leader that wants her back, was the main reason Bathsheaba Ward.  She never expected she would get caught up in an all out paranormal war.  Things go from bad to worse when single, wealthy and drop dead gorgeous were-cougar, Beau Russell-one of the most powerful and dangerous clans and a major client at Midnight Liaison, has just been shafted by his date canceling online.  Now she has one feisty cat that is not taking no for an answer and wants Sheba to take his dates place for the week.

Beau Russell needs a woman.  The ‘heat’ is coming he has a big itch that has to be scratched.  Midnight Liaison caters to the paranormal and his needs.  This is perfect, or so he thought until his date dumps him by way of an email.  Now, what is a powerful were-cougar supposed to do?  Dating never use to be this complicated.  But, the voice on the other end of the phone is sexy as hell and human to boot.  Beau cannot help but initiate the woman with the sensual, sexy steamy bedroom voice to go on a date with him. 

This is not a good idea, but Bathsheba cannot say no.  Her job is on the line, more important, her sister’s safety is paramount.  Sheba will do anything to keep Sara’s secret hidden, even if she has to date the whole underworld…she just might have to.  

BEAUTY DATES THE BEAST had this reader completely frustrated…in a good way.  From moment to moment, this book was exceptional read keeping me up all night, not wanting to put it sown for the shear fear I would miss out on finding out Bathsheba and Beau’s happy ending.  Elements abound, there are so many facets to this story I am not quite sure where to begin.  Let us start with Bathsheba Ward, the heroine of this fantastical crafted story.  I loved her.  There are not many times that a heroine grabs my attention as much as Sheba did the moment Sims introduces her.  But, I admit Sheba has the ‘IT’ factor.  What is the ‘IT” in this character, you ask.  Well, it is when the characterization is so tight and concise that the character leaps of the page to feel like a flesh and blood person that an author who has breathed life into them.  Bathsheba Ward is such a character.  Readers will fall for this strong compassionate character that puts others before her.  Bathsheba Ward sacrifices her own happiness for loved one and will fight tooth and nail for what she believes is right.   Sims gave readers a heroine with moxy that leaves readers rooting for her and wanting her to have the heroine she deserves.

Enter, single, dashing, rich and leader of the Russell were-clan.  All I can say is, I want one for my very own.  Even when Beau is in full cougar form, I am so there wishing I could pet that bad kitty’s pelt, making him purr.  But, I am getting a head of my fantasy.

BEAUTY DATES THE BEAST is overflowing with charmingly irresistible characters that seduce readers’ sense. Sims skill is shown in the imagery that brings these characters to life giving this story an add push into a paranormal fanatic’s heart. In this supporting cast there is filled t the brim with character that will have readers desperate for the next story in Sims shape shifter romance.  The one character that will grab readers’ attention is Bathsheba’s baby sister, Sara, who was bitten by her werewolf ex, unbeknownst to her.  Sara is young, skittish and not as confident as Bathsheba.  After an attack, Sara and Bathsheba go in to hiding.  Beau has hidden Bathsheba’s little sister with his clan brothers where they teacher her all about video games.  Heads up, by the end of the book, Sara has had a major transition and is the ultimate gamer.

Plot, plot and more plot.  A wonderful plot has many layers like a Twix candy bar.    It has a strong foundation, which Sims builds by adding a delicious ooey layer of dramatic conflict with an overlay of suspense creating a decadent read.   What can I say, but   BEAUTY DATES THE BEAST is one of my favorite paranormals of 2011.  It is all due to the sisters unbreakable bound where they will sacrifice everything for the other.  Yes, Bathsheba finds her soul mate in Beau, but it was underlining prose of the sisters sticking through thick and thin, no matter how difficult life became, there was girl power to the tenth degree.

BEAUTY DATE THE BEAST is a sexy, sassy, steamy entertaining read with emotions leaping from the pages, filled with sexual tension and engagingly satisfying from beginning to the end.
