Celebrating & Giving Away NYT Bestselling Author Donna Grant's MIDNIGHT'S WARRIOR: A Dark Warrior Novel #4

I am proud to announce that as of yesterday I am the new inductee in New York Times bestselling author Donna Grant’s street team Donna’s Dolls.  I am really excited to be in this group of wonderful readers and writers.  They were so warm and inviting.  And when I asked for help these group of delightful dolls jumped right in with both feet and contributed to this wonderful post.  But before we get this show on the road I am a firm believer that I would never ask someone to do something if I wouldn't do it myself.  So I am posing the same question I posed to the Donna's Dolls.  Name 10 of your favorite things about Donna Grant.

Hmmm...let me see...

1. Right of the bat...I LOVE Donna's writing. She is a grab her readers by the throat, shake a bit and send them on an adrenaline packed and emotional roller coaster of a read.

2. She has The best characters around.  I close the cover of a her books and hours later I am still mulling over the twist and turns of her characters journey.

3. Scotland...need I say more.  When reading her A Dark Warrior Novel I imagine Gerard (Jerry) butler deep brogue. Okay, I Always imagine he is the hero. ;)

4. Donna gives us kick-ass heroines.  No shrieking violets. No damsels in distress   I mean yes they are stressed, tortured and full of self doubt, but never do they shrink away from whatever obstacle Donna places in their way.

5. Kind---> Donna is one of the nicest authors it has been my pleasure to interview a few times here at Over the Edge blog.  

6. She adores and respects her readers.  You can tell by the way she interacts through her sites, social networks and visiting blogs. 

7. She constantly feed her readers exactly what the crave for in a romance: escapism, romance, with hot highlanders and a great story that keeps us coming back for more.

8.  Myth and legends.  She takes readers into a magical world that a) her readers hadn't imagined or b) would never imagine.

9. Donna's gives readers that bit of wicked indulgence that we don't have to feel guilty about, because unlike chocolate, her deliciously dark and sexy books do not go to our his.

10. For me, as a writer, she makes me want to strive harder and ut out the best possible work for my readers.  you can tell that in each book Donna puts her blood and sweat and tears into every word because she knows that there are reader like me who are always manic for her next releases.

So, there you have it. My very own 10 favorite things about Donna Grant.  Now it is time for the other Dolls to share what is their most cherished thing about Donna and being one of her Dolls.

4 never keeps her fans waiting, alot of authors bring their books out once a year or longer and you tend to forget about the story line, never with Donna Grant, 

5 I love how she shares with her readers an answers questions. Not many authors do that.. 

6 her hard work, she writes different series at the same time and  keeps it all on track and you can tell from the story that she puts her feelings into it, which helps the reader to connect with the story..

I love the stories she writes.  Well written, with a good balance of backstory and character development.

I love the fact that she tries so hard to stay connectd to her readers.

I love the fact that she gives great SWAG, lol.

I love that her stories are not all one genre. (historical and contemporary)

I love the fact that she maintains a site that we can check in on often to know what is going on and to connect with other fans and readers.  Many authors do not keep their sites current and it is very frustrating.

1.  She writes about Druids - Not too many write about druids. Not enough to satisfy my druid craving

2.)  She writes about Dragons (See friends say I have three d's: dragons, druids and dark elves/drows)
